Retro Studios lives up to its name by resurrecting and refurbishing one of the most beloved games from the Super NES era in Donkey Kong Country Returns. Once again players guide the great ape through all of the original side-scrolling levels, complete with barrel cannons and mine carts, on a quest to recover his stolen bananas. The game's graphics have been polished, and depth has been added to the backgrounds to give them a 3D look, and each level is filled with hidden items, puzzle pieces, and the iconic K-O-N-G coins. Donkey Kong Country Returns is optimized for use with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, and for the first time in the series, two players can navigate the same level simultaneously, with one acting as Donkey Kong and the other taking on the role of Diddy Kong.
